The Globe Forum has an annual conference (it’s in June in Sweden this year), and doles out awards for companies achieving sustainability. The Globe Award “recognises and encourages societies, the corporate sector, individuals and academia that have excelled in the area of sustainability.”
Check out last year’s winners, which focus on different categories of corporate social responsibility.

Curb™ - The Natural Media Company
WOW! Curb is an amazing media company. I will not waste any words trying to describe their compelling, effective work: check it out for yourselves.
From their “Who We Are”:
“Why can’t a great media solution be sustainable, natural and highly effective?
The lack of viable answers to this simple question, is the inspiration for CURB and forms the basis of everything we do. We are committed to only ever using natural earth elements in our media portfolio and providing a range of media which are not only sustainable and effective but can also generate substantial return on investment for our clients.
Ultimately we believe that it is not just what you say in your communications but also the medium you use!”
I rather enjoy perusing this website (although, to give fair warning, there are definitely services/products being sold… but—the man’s got a business to run!) and to be perfectly honest, I really just like the site design. BUT beyond my aesthetic druthers, there’s some good content.
From the site:
“The Art of Nonconformity (AONC) project chronicles my writing on how to change the world by achieving significant, personal goals while helping others at the same time. In the battle against conventional beliefs, I focus on three areas: Life, Work, and Travel.
The key theme that links each of these topics is nonconformity. I define non-conformity as “a lack of orthodoxy in thoughts or beliefs” or “the refusal to accept established customs, attitudes, or ideas.””
Happy non-conforming!
